If the author decides to recall a message, all copies are automatically expired - no matter where they are located (sender and recipient desktops, servers, or backup media).

- Secure e-mail from an individual's desktop: In this scenario, individual users protect, track and manage their own messages through their existing e-mail client using the earthwave SMS client plug-in.
- Secure outgoing e-mail automatically: Leveraging the earthwave Secure Gateway, outgoing e-mail can be automatically encrypted and protected in accordance with your organisation's established content security policies. The process is completely transparent to users and requires no special software requirements on the recipient's end.
- Secure files via a Web interface: Users log into an organisation-branded Web page to access the earthwave portal. From this Web page, they can compose and protect new messages, upload attachments, manage existing messaging and document activity, and deliver messages securely to recipients without IT involvement.
